Each year GUBNA is reinvented with a new hop bill that is founded on the season’s sickest, highest quality and most exceptional hops. Simultaneous, hand-on, resinous hop selection panels by all employees at both the Colorado and North Carolina breweries choose each season’s mix to load up this formidable and complex Imperial IPA. The 2016 GUBNA Imperial IPA (10% ABV, 100 IBUs) uses an experimental Idaho hop, ID 007, in the boil and is dry-hopped with prodigious amounts of hand selected Eldorado and Comet hops, creating a dank, papaya, pineapple & spicy orange zest aroma and unique blend of sweet orange and herbs, while finishing clean and bitter. The GUB sits on a base of Rye, North American Pale and Munich malts, which offers a smooth and flavorful backbone to support the garagantuan load of hops.
