Senior Director of Sales
How long have you been with the company?
15 years between the sales and marketing departments
What does your current position entail?
I oversee our [Reading’s] selling efforts while working closely with all other departments in our organization. I also work directly with our marketing personnel and supplier partners.
What has been the best thing about your job?
To be able to work with amazing, talented people who care about our company and the quality of service we provide. I also enjoy being a part of the professional development of our sales staff. We have great people and it’s a pleasure to work with them every day.
What does it take to ensure your department runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis?
Trust would be number one. Trust that the people and processes are doing the right things at the right times. We’ve had some very helpful technological updates lately, but it’s the people that drive the day-to-day decisions and interactions.
What is the best piece of work-related advice you’ve ever received?
Early in my career, I worked for a manager who believed in the “Golden Rule” when it comes to business relationships. That advice has paved the way for me throughout my tenure. In this relationship-driven industry, it’s important to realize that we all have our own unique challenges to overcome on a daily basis.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I like to stay active and spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy listening to music and watching sports.
