Behind The Brand: A Quick Chat with Brand Manager Kelly Davis

What makes Ritual Zero Proof stand out in the growing non-alcoholic RTD category?

Ritual is a pioneer in the non-alc spirit space as they were one of the first on the market and continue to drive trial in the space. One in four dollars of non-alcoholic spirit retail sales are driven by Ritual Zero Proof, which is why they continue to be the category leader.

Who is buying Ritual (Any specific age group, gender etc.)?

Ritual spans all ages and demographics. The beauty of the non-alc segment is that it is more approachable and accessible to a wider range of consumers. Whether it’s a bottle of the 750ml Rum, Whiskey, Gin, Apertif, or Agave alternatives or a 4-pack of G & T (Gin & Tonic), Margarita, or Spritz cans, Ritual has offerings for every palate and occasion!

What is your advice for retailers who are adding zero-proof options for the first time? Why should they add Ritual to their offerings?

The non-alc space is thriving due to trial, but consumers can’t try it if they don’t know you have it! In the on-premise, having a dedicated space on your menu for non-alcoholic offerings is more vital than ever.

For the off-premise, gone are the days of a dusty shelf of non-alcs in the back of the store. Retailers need to pay just as much attention to this section as they do the rest of the store. And a stack of Ritual Zero Proof RTDs by the register helps with impulse purchases!

What would you say is the biggest selling point for bars and restaurants? How about the off-premise?

Non-alcoholic offerings like Ritual give on-premise retailers a chance to boost guest checks. Whether someone is sober or just trying to pace themselves while out with friends, mocktails made with Ritual or the RTDs themselves, give consumers an elevated alternative to water or soda while putting more money in the register.

Ritual offers a suite of recipe tools on their website (https://www.ritualzeroproof.com/blogs/cocktails) for bars and restaurants with staff who want to experiment with mocktails.
