Brian Doyle

Off-Premise Sales Representative

How long have you been at Origlio Beverage? 20 years!

What positions have you held within the company? I started in the breakage department and then became a driver helper. I moved into a merchandiser position and was then promoted to an off-premise sales rep, which is the position I currently hold.

What does your current job entail? My job is to sell our complete portfolio to distributors and delis in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Sales involves the whole account: providing impactful signage outside and creative displays & visible pricing inside. I also continuously work on getting new distribution, while maintaining current distribution.

What do you like most about your job? I enjoy working with my account owners and managers to determine the right mix of our products for their stores. I want each of my accounts to be as successful as possible.

What is the most challenging part of your job? There are a lot of moving parts in this business, so staying organized is the most challenging part.

What does it take to be a top-notch off-premise sales rep at Origlio Beverage? It’s about being a good partner with your accounts and knowing what they sell and should be selling. Each sales rep has a breakdown of what every account sells by category, which is helpful to know, so we can fill in the holes with products they will most likely be successful selling.

You also need to be organized, and that starts with a pre-plan. These plans prepare you for discussions about distribution, sales and displays with account owners/managers. You also need to walk the store, looking for issues that need to be addressed. It’s also important to be available to troubleshoot and assist with any problems an account may have. Sales is a 24/7 job.

What do you like to do when you’re not working? I like to cook for and spend quality time with my family and friends.

What emojis do you use most often? I like to use the smiley face, thumbs up and crying laughing emojis.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be, past or present? Leonardo da Vinci, Neil Armstrong and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

If you could be anywhere, drinking any beer, where would you be and what beer would be in your hand? I’d be on a beach in Vieques, Puerto Rico drinking a Corona.
